What is your name, title, and role at your company?
I’m Amy Baldwin Efird, Exelaration’s VP of Partnerships. In my role, I make connections within our local and extended community, university partners, current and prospective clients, and industry partners like R!oT.
What does your company do?
Exelaration is a software development consultancy that provides custom software solutions to clients across industries. What makes our firm unique is that our dev teams are made up of not only experienced senior engineers, but also “learners” that gain critical experiential learning experience by working on real projects. With this model, clients get the benefit of a diverse team of exceptional talent who are committed to providing superior service and tech solutions
What are some neat projects that your company is currently working on?
So many of our clients are doing super cool things. One standout is a company we have been partners with for years, Beam Diagnostics. Beam is focused on behavioral healthcare with an app that assists physicians and other providers in predicting a patient’s penchant for addiction. It’s an awesome project for our learners to see how the software they build has a major impact on real people.
How would you describe your company’s culture?
Exelaration is very open: Open door. Open minded. Open air. Kidding, though I do sometimes wish my office was outside.
How does your company differentiate itself from your competitors?
We love our clients. We want our clients to succeed. We have STELLAR talent of all levels that support each other. We also have amazing tech leaders that are committed to sharing their expertise with others, whether it be our clients or the learners we’re training along the way.
If you could see anyone in concert, alive or dead, who would it be and why?
Etta James. Because she’s Etta James.
Is there anything additional you would like to share about your company?
Exelaration is a bunch of great people who are happy to be R!oT partners–since R!oT is also great people. Let’s connect.
