The City of Wilson, NC has received a $749,463 grant to construct a high-tech agricultural laboratory facility that will use SmartAg technology, high-speed internet, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to increase farm production.

RIoT will work with Wilson on establishing and running programs to enable entrepreneurs to run pilot programs and to develop farms and agribusinesses. These programs offer benefits such as validating business concepts, mitigating risks, accessing funding/resources, fostering innovation, supporting community development, promoting sustainable practices, and diversifying market access.
