What does your company do?
We connect skilled trade workers throughout the country with companies searching for their talent.
What are some neat projects that your company is currently working on?
Our new in-app chat and video interview portal is currently in development and will be released at the end of February. This feature will allow our customers to complete the entire hiring process on our platform and will provide on-the-go Job Seekers a mobile-friendly interview process from connection to their first day on the job.
We are also creating a brand new training program for those that wish to become certified in solar panel installers. It will include interactive, real-life scenarios that can be experienced through Mixed Reality from the comfort of their home.
How would you describe your company’s culture?
Fast, agile, and ever-changing. We are in full start-up mode and no day is ever the same. We are family-focused and make time during the day to relax and unwind, but when we need to focus and knock out a project, we are all hands on deck and working as a team.
How does your company differentiate itself from your competitors?
We are the only direct hire marketplace that instantly and accurately matches Job Seekers based on their skills to the requirements that companies are looking for. We have also removed any known or unknown bias that may exist within the hiring process as a Job Seeker’s name, photo, email, phone, and address are completely hidden from the employer until a Job Seeker accepts the employer’s invitation to connect. This allows anyone, regardless of gender, race, or age to be seen simply for their talents, rather than their appearance or way of life.
If you could see anyone in concert, alive or dead, who would it be and why?
The Eagles. I grew up listening to them and their music instantly takes me back to dance parties with my mom and sisters and drives to the beach in South Florida with the windows down.
Is there anything additional you would like to share about your company?
Coming from a family of auto body painters, mechanics, hair stylists and OTR truckers, I have a passion for those that want to provide for their families and don’t mind the hard work. The tech industry has ignored this segment of our country for a long-time and my company, BlueRecruit, wants to empower those in the skilled trades to be proud of what they do. To do this, we have a handful of new initiatives in the works to train and upskill workers so we can overcome the skills gap and get someone from entry-level to certified in the most accessible way possible.
